In 2012, Delzer won the Division III hammer throw title with his school-record cast. Delzer, who also produced a pair of indoor All-America efforts by finishing second in the 35-pound weight throw and third in the shot put, was the WIAC champion in both the 35-pound weight throw and hammer throw. Delzer capped his season with a sixth place All-America showing in the outdoor shot put.

Delzer added four more All-America accolades during the 2013 campaign as he won the 35-pound weight throw title with a distance that stood as the UW-Oshkosh record for the next 13 years. Delzer was the Division III runner-up in the hammer throw while placing third nationally in the outdoor and fourth in the indoor shot puts. Delzer also successfully defended his WIAC titles in both the 35-pound weight throw and hammer throw.

In 2016, Delzer was qualifier for the USA Track & Field Indoor Championship in the 35-pound weight throw.
